  3. INTRODUCTION

  5. Thank you for using the Bible 123 program.
  6. This program is part of the Super Bible Kids 
  7. Series software.  As with other Kidvision 
  8. Software programs, the Bible 123 program 
  9. is intended to educate young children about 
  10. the Bible through colorful pictures and music.  
  11. Kids are able to learn the Bible while having 
  12. fun learning to use the computer, with 
  13. the mouse and keyboard to play the games.
  14. The selected songs are popular Bible songs which 
  15. are fun and easy to learn.

  18. INSTALLATION
  19.  
  20. The program disk comes with an automatic setup 
  21. program that will install the Bible 123 game
  22. in your Windows(TM) Program Manager.  The program
  23. comes with its own icons.  After installation, you 
  24. can move the icons to any program group you prefer.  
  25. The default directory for the setup program is 
  26. c:\BibleKid.  If you want to change the directory, 
  27. you are allowed to do so during the setup 
  28. procedures.

  30. To run the setup program, you must follow these
  31. procedures:

  33. 1. Insert program disk into drive a:\ or b:\
  34. 2. At Program Manager, select File and choose Run
  35. 3. Type a:\setup or b:\setup
  36. 4. Then follow the on-screen instructions.

  39. HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
  40.  
  41. IBM or compatible computer with a 80286 or faster 
  42. processor.  EGA, VGA or SVGA monitor.  Windows 3.1 
  43. or higher (or Windows 3.0 with multi-media extension)
  44. with 2 M Byte of RAM memory (min.). A mouse is a must.  
  45. The program will play all sound and music through 
  46. your sound card.

  49. INSTRUCTIONS
  50.  
  51. The Bible 123 program is a very user-friendly
  52. program which requires minimal computer knowledge 
  53. to play.  However, children under the age 
  54. of 3 may need to be guided by an adult.

  58.     To start the program
  59.  
  60. At the Windows Program Manager screen, double-click
  61. the Bible 123 icon in the Super Bible Kids group.
  62. An introduction screen will come up to display 
  63. several messages and music will be played in the
  64. background.  The main program screen will then be 
  65. displayed.

  69.     To select the picture group to display
  70.  
  71. Using the mouse, click at the picture group button
  72. to select Biblical, Animals or Objects.  The child
  73. can change the selection at any time during the
  74. game by simply clicking at the other buttons.

  77.     To start the game
  78.  
  79. Using the mouse or keyboard, select a number.  The 
  80. correct number of pictures corresponding to the 
  81. selected number will be displayed on the screen.  
  82. A realistic voice will say the number and the word 
  83. for the picture(s).  After the pictures have been 
  84. displayed, a portion of a Bible song will 
  85. play.  The Bible song will be different for each 
  86. time you select another number.

  91. After the conclusion of the music, the child can
  92. select another number by using the mouse or 
  93. keyboard.  A new group of pictures and sound will
  94. be displayed for the selected number.

  97.     To see information about the picture

  99. An additional feature of the Bible 123 program
  100. allows the child to click the pictures on
  101. the screen to display written information about
  102. the pictures.  (A text box will come up on the 
  103. screen to briefly explain what the picture is.)

  106.     To get help information about the program
  107.  
  108. Using the mouse, click the "Help" button (?) to 
  109. display this help.txt file on screen.  You can also 
  110. print a copy of this help.txt file using the Notepad,
  111. Write or other word processing softwares.

  114.     To stop the music
  115.  
  116. Using the mouse, click the "Stop Music" button.  You 
  117. can also hit the "Enter" or "Space Bar" in the keyboard
  118. to stop the music.

  121.     To exit the program
  122.  
  123. Just click the "Exit" button (Stop sign).  The 
  124. program will return you to the Program Manager.

  127.     To play other Super Bible Kids games
  128.  
  129. The "Main Menu" button allows you to access other 
  130. Super Bible Kids games.  Click this button and the 
  131. Super Bible Kids main menu will display.  If you do not 
  132. have other games installed, clicking the uninstalled 
  133. game buttons will display a message indicating that 
  134. you have not installed those games.  (For your 
  135. information, we are planning more than eight 
  136. games in the Super Bible Kids series.)

  139.     To order the full version or other programs

  141. If your program is a shareware version, only less 
  142. than half of the picture groups are activated.  For 
  143. a fully-functional version, call Kidvision Software
  144. to order or print the Register.wri file using the 
  145. Windows(TM) Write program. Attached a check or money 
  146. order with the register form and send it to the 
  147. address below.  Your program(s) will be shipped as 
  148. soon as your order has been received.
